The Ayruvedic Health Practitioner Program Introduces Foundational principles, theory, diagnosis, and clinical application with a focus on life style wellness and mind-body healthcare. The program contains all the courses of the Ayurvedic Educator -(not replicated here at this time) as well as courses unique to the Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program.

  • AY 151 Applied Yoga and Ayurveda
    This course series was recorded during the two 10-day practicums applying yoga philosophy and practices through the lens of Ayurveda for disease prevention and to bring healthy balance to mind and body.
  • AY152 Food as Medicine: Herbology II
    This collection archives the classes during two 10-day practicums. Classes applied the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and the therapeutic use of food and herbs to balance the doshas and promote proper digestion to maintain health. Students used Ayurvedic herbs and spices in preparing dosha-balanced meals. Seasonally appropriate ingredients were used for meal preparation.
  • AY153 Client Interaction and Interpersonal Relationship
    Counseling practices were recorded in this collection of classes as they pertain to client interactions, ethics and mental health. The art of effective communication including tone of voice, body language, active listening and discerning non-verbal communication were the concerns of these classes. This course took place during the first 10-day practicum.
  • AY154 Sense Therapies & Self-Care
    This collection records the series of classes held in the two 10 day practicums in which the practices and effects of sense therapies and Rasayana was described and experienced to support the students' personal health goals. Students gained knowledge of these practices through personal experience and application to enhance the support of clients.
